Changing the game design because (Solana / Starcomm / RPC) isn't functioning defeats the purpose of what we are building. We're not intentionally building game systems that are dependent on spamming txns, (although I do admit that is the case right now). We will continue to push the limits of Solana. We will do our part and assume over time the other players in the ecosystem will do theirs, and eventually have a robust game like nothing that's ever been made before.

I’d say that’s the best spot. Big enough to make moves and make it worth your time, but small enough to no loose your shirt. When your small it’s not worth the time when your big it’s risky. Med size you can pivot quickly and do well without risking too much

the fact is there are likely less whales then we think there are, meaning that as things actually progress at least for a while the necesity of bigger ships to be effective will go down, the catch is there is not enough space to spread out yet

If you were enlisting in Faction Fleet then you would only be earning Atlas while your ships are supplied with Ammo, Food, Fuel. If you have XXS ships like me (eg Opal Jet, Unibomba, Pearce X4) then you have to resupply every 24hrs or so

Yeah, once you got your x,y spots filled in just hit start and it will do its thing. I find that having my fleets fueled up and undocked is the best way to start. Then the lab assistant will auto dock and fill whatever else you need.

You can on Lab assistant, but that doesn't work for depositing ships/creating fleets.

Phantom does it better for this stuff

Solflare, even with the game's priority fees enabled, still doesn't work very well for me.

On a side note, there has been some research that shows games with space ship piloting in 3d space is really good exercise for the brain ( similar to flight training simulators ). I have some good memories playing Colony wars on the PS1 when I was about his age

really depends on location and who is around you:

1. If you are alone and want to scout the scan probability of the sectors fast - yeah, why not
2. If you are using the Eveeye map and focus on going where there are other fleets - not sure

If you want to setup automatic scanning with Lab Assistant that is an entirely different story

Depends on what you have. How many scanning fleets do you have? Do you have a fleet that can supply them with toolkits in the MRZ or HRZ? For example you can have:

1. 1-2 Scanning fleets, lets say if you are Ustur - MRZ-21, MRZ-15, MRZ-28 are nice because you also have hydro available there.
2. Have a supply fleet bring you toolkits from the CSS to your scanning base.
3. If you don't want to bring fuel too, then you can have one fleet dig some hydrogen on the same station and craft it into fuel there

Depends on the config for the scanning fleets, but you don't want then to go too far off from the main base if they are xxSmall ships. You can configure something like min 15% SDU scan chance using the lab assistant and move while scanning option let say about 2-3 sectors away from the scanning base in the direction of the map center.

You should be able to automate the whole loop except from the crafting so you might want to have a slightly bigger supply fleet and bring it over from the CSS. You can configure the supply fleet to bring back some of the SDUs on its way back. If you happen to dig some nice resource ( lets say you are able to settle on the MRZ-17 and have a mining op there as well it can also bring back the arco with it )

Then again it really depends on what ships you have in your fleet to be able to min-max this. Boy I can't wait for the rent mechanics, I doubt someone will be willing to give me a lancer account control with Lab Assistant so I can do the setup for them. Not until it becomes an official feature

SDU used to be profitable even for smaller fleet. I had a fleet with one rayfam, one maxhog and one Unibomba. was making around 450 sdus daily. But with priority fees this high, its not proftable anymore. in best case scenario, i would make like 10 cents per day.

But with a bigger and more dedicated structure still is probably a very good option

hm, I was in faction fleet for about a week anticipating the release of Starbased. Solana feels a bit more stable this week and I have some time so I will put that to test. 10x Unibomba fleet, the other will be used for supply. Will get back to you after I run the setup for a few days.

P.S. you can set your own prio fees using lab assistant, not to mention that Atlas has pumped a bit and the SDU price is ~1 Atlas

It is working. Use phantom, and Labs v2, with priority fees enabled.
If it fails, and you get the "deposit/cancel" option, go back to recipe screen, put in the EXACT same amount you tried to craft, go back to intances tab, and click deposit.
Very important to put the same number. 😉🙏
