Alright. Trying not to sound like a dumb dumb, but I just started playing. Hoping to make some money or at least just break even. haha. What are some approaches people are taking. I scanned a couple sectors and found nothing. With an xx-small ship and the transaction fee to scan, it quickly makes it seem like that is not a very good option. Any advice from more seasoned players?

typically scanning is done in with a small fleet and that is with 10xxs (airbikes) or with a data runner which does not require toolkits. Most scanning operations are using SLYs automation tool and they is how they are running their fleet. Same with mining. Because then they can leave their fleets working 24/7 without needing to interact with the game

I don't believe faction fleet and labs should be immediately deprecated with the release until most of the bugs and feature are sorted out.

I guess something like 2 weeks after the initial release of Starbased is appropriate time to deprecate all the other stuff in order to give people time to react and get used to the interface.

the new work in ue5 with the skins in the showroom is spectacular, when all the pieces come together with starcom, multiplayer ship battles, and FPS.
