Anyway - I think the brew today is excellent opportunity to ask these questions. In my experience so far:

1. Team did not announce the adjustments of Atlas pricing for ships beforehand - I provided feedback, now I can see it in announcements.
2. Team released RFR with bug where it had taxes - the bug was reported early and it was fixed shortly after the team came back from vacation.

So far I am happy with how the development is progressing. Probably because I have worked in software development industry and I know for sure that things don't always go as planned. This is why it is important that the community reports stuff especially in early phase of development.

3. Don't start crafting a huge amount of stuff with only one crew

Current meta is Sage Labs - mainly mining, scanning, crafting and transporting stuff. Ships specs that currently have special utility in game are:

1. Miner - able to mine without the use of Ammo
2. DataRunner - able to scan without the use of Toolkits.

Everything else is currently used to mine, scan and haul stuff. I think that right now R8 is good for cargo ship. But as always - best to do your own calculations. For the Star Atlas Showroom game in UE5 you will need a code to access the pre-alpha. If you need one the mods in the server can give you. For Faction Fleet/Sage Labs you will need at least a Ship and some R4 ( fuel,ammo,toolkits,food ) and some Solana in your wallet to play. Ships and resources are available on the marketplace to check: https://play.staratlas.com/market/
