everything is a solana txn 0.000005, expect solana token account creation, these are 0.02, but you get the token accounts back as soon you close them, its an automated process, so as soon you interact with any asset it creates token accounts, same goes for fleets and cargo
so each time you transport or mine things, cargo token accounts get created for your fleet these usually get closed when you unload, but when you disband a fleet a message will pop up in the starbase that you have open cargo accounts when you press it you get the solana token/renting account fees back

Yes, currently it is possible to play solo vs bots ( bots with cars, and third person shooter vs bots with guns ).
You will need to enable "experimental" mode in game then when you click on "Play" you need to scroll to the right ( with mouse, or use E key, not sure what is the key for the controller but the game should say )

Yes, you cant do anything without ships in Labs currently. To enlist you go to your faction CSS, and you can click the tab "deposit/withdraw ships". Select your ships and deposit, then go to Starbase Hangar tab and create new fleet

Depending on what you want to do in game.

Starter for Sage Labs - a fleet of 10x xxSmall ships is a good scanning fleet. But keep in mind that there will be update in game and the mechanics for scanning could be changing soon. Adding a 1x Maxhog/Lowbiel for transport is also fine in this scenario. If you have more funds you can do more things, but for now this is the optimal for starting out with low budget. If you have more funds to invest there are other options like miner ships.

I have personally bought a Tufa Feist for Sage because next version is expected to have combat and I also like the design of the ship. But can't say it is really that profitable in the current version. Maybe it will be a beast in next one, that is what I am hoping for 😉

For Showroom ( UE5/Epic Games ) - currently you don't need to own a ship, there are few on free rotation that you can test. But if you own a ship there it will be available to play if you have it in your wallet, faction fleet or labs. I have personally gone for the xxSmall and xSmall ships in anticipation for the racing trials/masteries but this is my personal speculation ( I want to be able to test the racing tracks with all the racing ships without waiting for free rotation )

Well there's first a bunch of atlas to be paid just to add the ship to starbase and add resources.

I'm trying to move but it's not working. Also scanning doesn't work either - is that because I'm not outside starbase yet? 😄

Definitely a learning curve with this.

Some quick tips for starting out:

1. Ship needs to be undocked/idle to be able to start travel/mine/scan

2. Make sure you have enough fuel in your tank when you travel and when you start mining ops - currently you cannot lose a ship in Sage Labs but if you get stranded without fuel you will need to "self-destruct" which is the "respawn" mechanic and will cost you some Atlas ( I think it was 140 if I am not misstaken )

3. Watch some videos on the game-play first. For example Beyond the horison has a series in playlist that can get you started: #📺┃content-creators message

4. Most useful tool for scanning SDUs in my opinion - the interactive map from Eveeye: https://atlas.eveeye.com/?m=Galia Expanse&o=nodeout_blk,con_none,etag_none,sub_sector,node_sov,sector_ws_scan_p,tag_none,dark

racing game mechanic works nice, its really fine tuned to drive ship in hover mode. Basically this is needed for all new players who want to drive ship easily without big learning curve, so team has done great work on this. It will be nice when multiplayer starts

Yeah, the Vzus solos feels particularly nice to drive right now. I guess there will be more fine tuning of the hover/racing mechanics to come. I played the previous release before 2.19 and can confirm that the improvements that the team made over the hover mechanics of the racing ships were on the spot.

We do have swappable parts for the xxSmalls and xSmalls in the ship configuration menu ( press I to open hangar ), but I think most of them are currently just for preview. Swapping the subwarp engine seems to be working, but hard to tell without any kind of time trial race track right now.

Can't wait for the multiplayer too for the racing, but I will still occasionally jump into DogFight map because I am all in for the flying and shooting in 3d space

what does max warp distance mean?

The maximum distance you can warp ( blink travel ) with your fleet. It is taken by the ship with best warp distance in your fleet ( if you are making mixed fleets ). When you warp you have cooldown - taken from the slowest cooldown of your ships in your fleet ( currently the same one that has max warp ). Usefull if you have a lot of fuel and want to haul resources faster.

The subwarp ( cruise travel ) is the other means of travel - you can travel further and cost less fuel, but is really slow. Also speed is taken from worst ship in your fleet. This is if you want to haul resources for less fuel and larger distances.

yes, each square in straight line, traveling diagonally is a bit more. You can also use the Eveeye tool to check the distance between bases if you want to calculate in advance ( for example if you don't have the ship and want to do the research )

no, you can only add ships or disband it all. When you disband - go to inventory tab. There should be a red ribbon ot top with a msg. When you click it it will refund you the "rent" account for creating the fleet token.

P.S. you might want to disable Atlas prime to avoid confusion and overcharges. Otherwise it will charge you premium in Atlas and refund you only partially in SOL

Racing against bots is currently only to test out the guns of your racer against them.

Time trials on the tracks and the one with the ring thingies are currently not active. You can drive on the tracks to try them but it is not tracking your time. This was working in previous version, but I assume it was temporally removed until next one is out because we will have ship masteries and ways to level in game that will probably use this mechanic.

So TL;DR - you can shoot the bots on the track and you can test out the other available tracks bur right now tracking of your laps times is disabled ( for now ).

You can try 5-6 hard refreshes of the page CTRL+F5 and try again. As far as I know team is working on improving the dao page to be more responsive. Other workaround I know is using step.finance to claim the rewards.

Aftermarket ships sold by individuals were not directly affected. Usdc ships from the team were also no directly affected

with just 1 ship it will be super hard to turn profit coz when you start you need to pay a lot of token accounts and so on

In the MRZ nothing will get lost 🙂 Things will only get badly damaged. As to crew members, it is not yet clear how that dynamic will be implemented here. Perhaps they are lost until the ship is repaired, but it could also be that they get their own “repair” mechanics.

You can use any ship with every faction, but these alignment makes it easier to repair vzus shipd as ustur etc

Transfer your ships from wallet to starbase... is first menu in the CSS.... then create a fleet... you will need resources as fuel for example.. and use your fleet to farm...
Step by step it is more simple than it seems at first time...
