You can mine Hydro in the CSS or move to other space stations to mine different type of recourses. You can also mine Hydrogen with different level of Richness ( for example lvl 2 richness will mean 2x faster mining with lower resourse cost ).

It depends on your fleet configuration if you want to move and mine other recourses. Do you want to craft, what do you want to craft? Or do you just want to sell Hydro on the market for profit? Do you want to scan for SDUs and trasport Toolkits to another starbase then transport back the SDUs + some of the local available recourse. It all depends on what you are trying to do and what is your current fleet configuration

Regarding the ATLAS emissions available in Sage - you can craft Council RFR and sell it to the team on the market for exchange of ATLAS. This could also be a part of your strategy in Labs

If you do the scanning properly you should be getting profits by just selling the SDUs. Do you scan in the high risk zone? Have you learned the mechanics yet? It is currently the most complicated part of the game to learn and it will require either:

1. Knowing what you are doing and a lot of time scanning manually looking at the map.
2. Setting up automation for scanning SDUs non-stop

To get to the best spots for scanning you should also setup some kind of supply chain - I found myself hanging out in the High Risk Zone to do that. Currently testing out the automation stuff now that I know how scanning works because I cannot sit for 8 hours straight scanning stuff even if I have autoclicker ( I need to learn the racing tracks in Showroom so I aint got time for that )

Depends on what you mean by "approved". They are still advertised as open-sourse and community made but the Star Atlas team does not take any responsibility for their development or support. And they are not part of the Star Atlas security audit. So yeah - lots of players used them but they used them at their own risk.

I am still testing the Lab Assistant - have not figured out yet if I can claim back the token accounts for fleet creation. Still reading trough the Player profile documentation so I can provide Groove with some feedback on the usage.

Currently - just the middle of the map. No need to be scared of loosing your ships right now - this will be in the next iteration of the game. Currently we are all in peace and just trying to outscan our buddies and find all the SDUs.

Regarding the automations tools - as mentioned above there are some tools made by the community and they are open source and ready to use. Of course you can also make your own automation if you have the skills - I had some autoclicker made to help me with the SDU scanning in the beginning but my dev skills are pretty rough so I will probably be moving to Labs Assistant soon.

There are some videos of previous Star Atlas brews that they show off the automation from Lab Assistant and the EveEye map as well as some other stuff. You might want to watch this to get a general understanding of what you are about to use if you want to get yourself deep in Labs.

Do you think starbased is coming soon? I am not expecting it in the next half an year. I have some concerns based on the map and the fighting.

1. Fog of war and advanced scanning - we cannot have all the ships being visible on chain by everyone. Need some kind of stealth mechanics and the fighting simulator in V1 was pretty basic.
2. Super stable network - cannot have server interruptions affect fighting. We either need to add turn based mechanics to the RTS ( let say we play 5 min ticks where we can take fight actions every 5 min ) or the server needs to be super high availability otherwise there will be a lot of tears.
3. Some kind of advantage to players that are actually playing the game and not just running script to mine and gather SDUs. This is essential because it is what will either brake or make the game. There is no gaming if we all use bots.

Not sure, maybe I am underestimating the team but transitioning to Starbased too soon could be a lot of trouble. I would rather learn to pilot my ship in EU5 and level up my crew in the fitness app than cursing at server interruptions when I try to go make a trip the the MRZ ( or dare I say to the HRZ ) in Starbased

As far as I tested - there is a small chance to do x1.5 dmg when firing at the enemy. And the enemy has some chance to fire back x1.5 dmg on return fire. I mean these are the current rolls in the combat sim - the add a bit of chance but I dunno. I would like more testing regarding combat before it is actually released. I have already based some of my purchases based on the current combat simulator, the ship manufacturer and parts and the lore. If it is going to be - well we just throw the ships in the open and let us see what will happen after 10 min of combat.

Can we attempt to flee from a combat? Does this depend on the enemy Tracktor Beam class? What is stealth - does it have an utility at all in next iteration?

Yes and no. Right now in this version of the game is faction vs faction. Later in the full game don’t think so. Sage will be faction vs faction. UE5 will be guild vs guild I believe. So if u want to play with friends I would either join all one faction or join a multi faction guild like mine ( allows all factions ) . But yes in this current version it’s very faction based. So either plan for short term or long term
