Reddit is very blockchain friendly. I think it’s a very cool idea but implementation will be the biggest consideration. You already have “moons” as a currency on r/cc and it just causes people to try to farm them with low value posts.

But I don’t know why you’d need to invent a new currency if you already have a good one.

Yeah ATLAS honestly would be perfect for something like this.

It wouldn’t throw anything off in the global supply it would be too small (you’ll never generate enough Reddit traffic for it to impact supply and pricing etc), and it would give people currency that they could then go use to buy a ship etc. at some point.

People get rewarded. But it’s also like a “free sample” of ATLAS that encourages them to head to the game / marketplace.

So it’s good both ways.

Between ATLAS, POLIS, LP, and Prosperity, I wouldn’t introduce a new token. We have a lot of different ones already. ATLAS would be perfect. If we couldn’t directly use ATLAS I’d create something like r/ATLAS which just mirrors the value of ATLAS and we could have a pool for converting it etc.

That way even the “new” currency isn’t new. It’s just ATLAS and you can convert it over to spendable ATLAS anytime you want.

Hey Mando, I just went through the process of building a new system with the goal of having an excellent UE5 / Star Atlas experience.

If you are running games on a 1080p monitor, at medium detail, and you are not interested in the latest in UE5 technology, the 2060 is a suitable card for your needs.

The big decision you need to make is what resolution you want to play at, and do you want the best detail possible or are you ok playing at lower settings? I decided I wanted to on play on a 2k monitor at max settings, and set out to build a system for that spec. After doing all that research I settled on building a complete system around an RTX 3070, because my 5 year old PC would be a bottleneck.

In laymen's terms, the 3070 supports all the new UE5 technologies, and will drive a 2k monitor at max settings. I see this system easily getting me through the next 3 years.
