how do i "hard refresh" my bot. it wont logout. Commands don't refresh.

My bot is still online, even though the script is not running. I have done client.stop() but it is still online. The issue i believe this is causing, is that my slash commands list is not updating; not removing old commands, and not adding new commands. I believe this is something to do with a setting that can be enabled that allows the slash commands list to be stored in cache somewhere (on discord sever side probs?) which means the bot has to stay online, even if no scripts are running. but i don't where to find this setting to disable it... but either way, how do i get around this? how do i update the command list from script?

delete_unused_application_cmds=True should delete the old unused comamnds
