New player Witch

I'm a new player with my first char, a witch. For heal/support should I go succession or awakening? I usually like to play healers/supporters in MMO-s. I prefer PVE, but I consider going to PVP sometimes as well.

I think she heals in both stances , though I will caution you...the only true support character in BDO is that gremlin Shai class. Witch can only do so much, and honestly there's no tank/healer/dps trio.

I see...but does succession or awakening witch have more utility and group demand in pve settings?

Both stances are good as each other. Pve really is a matter of 'use anything'

Both Stances use the exact same healing/protection/buff skills, only the dps skills are vastly different

I read that Awakening witch was nerfed in 2025. In which situations is that a problem? And which one do you prefer to play?

To give the "... was nerfed in 2025" a bit more context for newer players, I'd like to add that almost every week there will be buffs and nerfs for classes, so that in itself doesn't really say anything

It's not really a problem anywhere tbh, especially earlier on. The real difference lies in min-maxing for different content.

I'm not a witch player so I can't really say a lot, but in general succession should be slightly better than awakening, but require more effort. Awakening should be considerably worse in pvp, in pve it shouldn't matter too much.

In general I'd always say to first see how both feel and then decide based on that, not on something like class balance that can change within 7 days

Pve wise :

i'm playing awakening witch atm and i picked her because she was a really chill class , like low apm without a lot of combos , big aoes lot of survivability from heals and all the protection u have on skills and one of the greatest dps of the game

she sat on the top of the game for months even years while probably also being the easiest class to play , the nerf we got some weeks ago probably nerfed her about 5-10% damage , which is like very little and doesn t matter that much if u are not a meta slave

succ was stronger than awak, or sometimes depending the spot they were kinda close , but the difference was that succ witch is asking for far more apm/unput , si it's harder to play , it"s why people tend to go awak bcs the effort/rewards rates were lil better
but succ got buffed a little bitt while awak was nerfed so now the gap maybe make it worth, or anyway if u prefer succ, just go succ , both spec are good pve wise
