#Monitors turn off and have to shutdown computer.

Is your computer still on when this happens, as in, you can still hear sound and such?
If yes, you're likely experiencing driver crashes
You can reboot your graphics drivers by pressing Windows key + Ctrl + Shift + B on your keyboard
If you've been experiencing these steadily, I would recommend you check how your GPU is hooked up to your power supply
If a small(er) powersurge happens, your PSU might not be able to fully handle it, and the drivers can crash
If you have a beefier GPU, you don't want to connect it with a "daisy chained" power connector, you want to use two "main" ones
Ok so, I can hear like, windows errors, sometimes I can hear audio, but yea, my computer is very much on, and only does this while playing bdo, I can try that command whenever I'm about to play again
If that button combination works, you will have to look at the images I sent you and make sure your GPU is hooked up like that, as that has become the #1 cause of driver crashes lately
If that does not fix it, you will have to look into running a program called "DDU" - Display Driver Uninstaller
This will allow you to completely nuke any and all driver info for the GPU and get a completely fresh install, which would resolve any software-side issues
Right, well idk much about pc's so I'll have to take a look
So if it doesn't work, then what?
Then there's a deeper underlying issue which might be hardware related, which is incredibly difficult to troubleshoot over the internet like this
Also, how would I really know if it works? sorry I'm asking so many questions
The screen should turn back on 😄
Well no the command turned my monitors off twice, then it came back onm
but it only happens after a certain time while grinding on bdo
Yeah
As I said, the command re-boots your graphics drivers
Your PC also turns off and back on when you re-boot it
It's the same principle
The reason I gave you the command is because my suspicion is that your graphics card drivers are crashing while playing, and re-booting the drivers would turn the monitors back on if that is the case
So test it when you actually get the black screens
So I do it when my monitors turn off?
Yes
It's too see if they don't really turn off, but they lose signal instead
You use it when you encounter the problem you originally described
ok cool, and if it works, than it's a psu to gpu connection problem? psu is just the fans right?
my pc is a potato, and i've been crashing a lot recently too (not due to BDO, just in general). feels so bad when crystals break because of this, i sympathise with u 100% and hope your problem is fixed since u're not potato like me.
