#How do workers go to their node?

I'm currently looking at the Valencia region while setting up my workers.
Hired a bunch in Arehaza, because I want a few nodes around the Sulfur Mines.
I have Artisan humans in Valencia and in Arehaza, and I think I know how it works but I would like some confirmation.

My nodes from Valencia do not connect to these in Sulfur Mine, but I can still send my workers from there to these nodes and on top of that they're apparently faster than sending them from Arehaza.

Distance from Valencia = 5200
Distance from Arehaza = 7100

Time spent from Valencia = 1 hour, 5 minutes
Time spent from Arehaza = 1 hour, 30 minutes

Do workers travel on ''autopath'' do their nodes, like we do, or do they follow the node connection route?
I'm starting to feel like they autopath, which means I would have to re-do the majority of my worker empire.

Can anyone shine a light on this?

Worker calculations is very complex and very little is researched for them

Each worker has own movement speed
And Races has their own stats as well
Work timer = travel to node, do the work load, then travel back

Goblins are fastest workers, but low on work loads

#

Workers will run on "auto-pathing" route. On the road as much as possible

I see, yeah I couldn't find anything regarding this. At least not in depth.
I used to think they follow the node connections, because thats how trade works as well, as in value going down if there is no connection.
You still need the node connection to send workers from Valencia, but they don't follow that node connection. Make it make sense.

CP and connection wise, starting in Arehaza should be the better route, but my workers disagree on that.

Because if they were to follow the node connection, they would first have to travel to Arehaza, and from there to the invested nodes. But they can't possibly walk that route since their visible distance is shorter.
🤷‍♂️

So, basically, ignore the logic, and look at the distance & time spent.

I dont think anyone has actually mapped the routes yet

The first one to map all the routes deserves a lot of respect xd
