When in a party, what triggers loot to drop, and what is the maximum distance that pets can be to pick up loot?

Loot drops even if you aren't near. You won't get the loot though if you aren't close enough for the pets to pick them up.

I'm asking what triggers the loot to drop and what is the range of the pets. For example I know me just standing there when the monster dies is not enough for loot to drop.

Killing the mobs drops the loot and don't remember seeing anyone testing what's the max range since you want to be close enough anyway for the pets to pick up the loot faster. You need to hit the mob for you to get loot from it. Not sure if there is difference in party spots if you still need to hit them or not. Probably do.

In party spots there is a max amount of people who can get loot from the same if they hit it, assuming you need to hit it since I haven't tested it. But it solo spot only 1 person gets the loot no matter how many people there are in the party. And if the loot isn't picked up in x amount of time, anyone walking by can pick it up. No clue what the time is though.

iirc pet's loot range is 10-12 meters

Wifi-icon in party is range of shared exp and loot
If wifi-icon is grey then you are out of range and will not gain killed exp nor loot.
Maximum range for party share is 125 units/meters

In solo spots loot is one drop per looter, or one corpse can be looted only onces, while in party spots depending on spot party members can all loot same corpses that are killed
But still if party member kills an enemy out of your wifi range then you will not get the loot nor exp of the kill

You must be in the 125m radius to get wifi link for shared exp and loot

Some places has afk spots that are middle of rotation that is about 125m range of the runner

Also if you afk loot that way, the afker will get a spook and will get killed 😂

Spook appears only if you stand still for 60sec and killing mobs

300 diameter would be within the 125m radius. 125m in any direction

Radius is a line. Diameter is that line times 2. The center point will be where you stand

Basically I just finished testing afk farming in polys forrest and it works pretty well under certain circumstances

It happens if you are afk looting. Happened to an afk leecher at Gyfin not too long ago.

spook should only appear if you stand still and deal dmg or kill mobs

Well as far as I've heard just afk looting does the trick. I don't leech so can't verify it.

From what my test showed the game has to register that you are “helping” with the combat before giving you loot. While at trees I would not receive loot unless I attacked at least once

Shai is a very special case fully afk looting was viable at polys forest

I’m trying to see if there would be a better place to do this at. My biggest concern would be dying though so I can’t do it at trees

Just find the right spot at the Trees and it should be a doable. The next party spots would be Upper Gyfin or Oluns 😂

I’m doing this with a seasonal shai which means

A. It has to be a spot where I can out heal all potential damage using the afk skill

Or

B. Who ever is farming kills mobs fast enough that I don’t get damaged in the first place

At Mirumoks you should be able to climb to a spot where the mobs don't get to you.

This is correct but only for exp, loot works a bit different.

On party spots, when it comes to loot, party itself doesn't matter at all. On N-party spot N players who dealt biggest damage gets loot, let's take miru for example - its a 3 party spot, so max 3 players can get loot from 1 mob. If only 1 player hits kills the mob, no one else will get additional loot. If 2-3 ppl attack and kill the mob, all will get loot. If 4+ ppl attack and kill the mob, only 3 who dealt biggest damage will get shared lood. Rest won't get anything. It doesnt matter if these people are in party or not, damage is the only thing that matters.

Ah, well i had not tested loot thing in party spots

But exp and loot share in solo spots works with the wifi rule

Maybe free looting is blocked for first 30s when you're out of wifi range, but for the next 30s it's unlocked and possible for everyone (not limited to party) to loot it
