It really depends on what you wanna do or what you're in the mood to. I personally pushed through the msq first, but you could try doing some questing then grinding for a bit and so on. But get your accesories first

Have you done kamasylvia and drieghan? Then you can do the magnus and connect the storages, you also get a pen boss armor from the magnus, so that is always good to get ^^

actually I somehow did magnus randomly much earlier weirdly and my storages are indeed connected

Kamasylvia is okay to do
Drieghan is more useful, since you will unlock side quest for 2 inventory slots

Odylita is after drieghan and is good to do so that you can use Odylita city for storage
