Lifeskilling Alt Question

I'm new to bdo (old acc deleted)
For life skilling alt is it really that big of a difference long-term using a Shai? I personally dislike the looks of the character, never been much into the loli esk charcters on games.

I've seen people on youtube rave about rerolling however, the playtime that I put in (active) might be 2-3 hours (maybe 3-5 on weekends). Is the impact of shai that great to use if i dislike the character as a whole?

Any class works as life skiller

Shai has passives to get 5% more exp in alchemy and gathering than others. Alao ahe starts with professional 1

But in long run that 5% exp difference is very very small.

Also in gathering other classes are superior becauae shai does not have aoe pull skill or good mobility.

Thanks @tired flint, if you don't mind for a follow up, should there be a class dedicated to just gathering? Or have a all a rounder life skiller? With the wells I feel like transport is not that big of an issue to get to a house to cook or a destination to gather in.

As in, just one for gathering, another for cooking fish etc.

I think many uses something like that
1-3 alts to gather different areas
1-2 for processing the gathered things

Also maybe most important part in cooking and life skilling is to have a worker empire

Good gathering classes are like
Valkyrie
Musa
Guardian
and some others that has an aoe pull or dash skill

For something like hunting and fishing any alt works for those no matter what class

There is one advantage to shai that other classes dont have for hunting. It's considerably more tryhard than other classes because of the weapon swapping. Sun, moon, stars III gives a +10% attack speed buff for 60seconds. This affects your reload and shooting speed on the matchlock. Another would be max weight. At level 60, with the Light Bag passive, you would gain a total of extra 395LT. (unsure of the light bag exact numbers. what i'm sure of is that it's at least extra 75LT)

for most lifeskills shai is hot garbage

particularly for gathering musa outstrips her in mobility and ease of gathering

her lifeskill passives really arent worth the trouble pro 1 alch and cooking are easily achievable and the other stuff is negligible
