Check if your node have enough free resources

how I can see this ?

idle gyro

In your pterodactyl

manic totem

where ?

idle gyro
#

In node settings ¯_(ツ)_/¯

manic totem
#

ok, wait

#

How do I reduce that?

*I mean "reducing the resources"

I mean both.

See your node, so your hardware got 20GB of memory.

You got 6 servers summing up to 22GB memory.
Thats 3.6GB per server on avrage.

So either make it less GB per server on avrage, or get more Hardware.

Or overallocate, so you sell hardware you have multiple times in the assumption that a avrage user wont use all the resources but that requires close monitoring

because if you overuse memory, you´ll crash the host or write to SWAP killing your drive.
And if you use more disk than you have your host goes into read only mode and wont restart if you don´t delete anything

#

Like you got 180GB of disk, so you could sell 10GB to 20 People in the assumption that those 20 People not use all their 10GB.

In case they use the 10GB then your server will die because it ran out of disk

#

You can also use KSM so the kernel merges some memory pages to save memory

#

And you can use ZFS as filesystem with deduplication and compression so when you got 20 Minecraft servers with 100MB of server.jar each, it only stores the jar once in disk but maps it to all 20 servers.

Thus it only requires 100MB instat of 2GB

#

Both of those come with trades in CPU usage or memory usage. Nothing is free in the real world ^^

I delete 3 servers and then its fine Xd
Idk why

noble adder
#

Did you even read what i write??
I realy recomend you understand the why... kinda essential for a host

#

And its hard to belive that 3 servers require 0
They where most likly created with the limit of 0, so infinite.
Thus a single server could already kill your node.

ok

Thanks for this tip
