#slughouse college list

Hello! I’m a rising junior and I need some suggestions for more colleges to explore!
Location/Region: Decently sized city or town. Not too rural or out of the way. Ideally not a southern state but I could make exceptions.
Major: Either Civil Engineering or Chemistry. A college with both majors would be a plus as I’m currently undecided.
GPA/Test Scores (optional): 3.9 UW/somewhere between 4.1-4.3 W as of now (freshman and sophomore year). 1200 PSAT, hoping to bring it up to an SAT score of 1350-1400+.
Curriculum: Rigorous but not
seemingly impossible. I want to challenge myself but need time to do things other than work constantly. A huge plus would be a college that also offers a music minor or
music electives, especially in performance.
Size: A smaller class size is preferred. The overall size of the school doesn’t matter as much to me.
Costs: I will be needing aid but honestly have no idea how much. I am middle class but that’s all I really know about my family’s finances.
Schools you're currently looking at (if any): Drexel (I love the idea of co-ops/experiential learning), William and Mary (I like the nerdy/quiet vibe, not much of a party person. Also in state), UVA (great salaries and career outcomes), Dartmouth (project based and collaborative engineering curriculum!), Virginia Tech (beautiful campus, strong engineering)
Additional: LGBT friendly is a must, easy access to medical facilities like hospitals or specialists would be great too. Colleges with radio stations, music practice/recording rooms, and a music scene would be great too.
Rising junior ?
You can look for college's but like read this post on what you should be doing: https://reddit.com/r/ApplyingToCollege/comments/vap4er/rising_junior_and_senior_admissions_journey/
I’m doing the things on that list too, but I don’t have a great idea of what I actually want from a college so I’m trying to start a little earlier :)
no further south than georgia...do you just mean not florida?
ngl wasn’t even thinking let me edit that
There are actually no thoughts in my head ever
Florida Gulf Coast University
Northeastern has a great co op program too
Thanks for the recommendation, any specific reasons why Florida Gulf Coast would fit?
Thanks! I think I’ll tentatively add Northeastern to my list. I still have to do some research though
It's right outside of Fort myers which is a medium sized city, we have civil engineering snd chemistry. Your scores are enough to get you merit scholarships and an honors college invitation, and classes aren't super huge. There js a radio station and music school too.
cool, thanks!
