Major: Neuroscience
Looking to go to a T10 Med school
For undergrad I just want to get a solid footing into the T15 schools and so an acceptance is the most important thing to me. Looking to finish up apps in the early round getting deffered from both isn't the endof the world for me
Choices:
Stanford - 1st choice
Pros: Been my dream school for a while , My freshman grades was my worst year(3.88 compared to 4.0) , My extracurricular profile is very strong
Cons: Insanely low acceptance rate, No REA boost, Cannot apply to Caltech/MIT/uchicao(Chances are low for these schools too but like)
Johns Hopkins - 2nd Choice
Pros: Very research heavy which I like , Academically challenging , ED boost + means I can apply to Caltech/MIT , Med school reputation is top tier
Cons: Many people apply to neuro at JHU so my chances will be significantly lower
Duke - 3rd Choice
Pros: Very nice looking campus + balanced social life, Research opportunities, Not as good as JHU but still a good med school repuation, Easier to get into than JHU as a neuro major because the school is less med focused, ED boost + means I can apply to Caltech/MIT/Uchicago
Cons: Not as good as JHU for Medicine
WashU - 4th Choice
Pros: Solid med school reputation, Highest ED acceptance rate, Probably the best campus behind stanford
Cons: Worst reputation among the 3
UChicago
Pros: Solid med school reputation, Good academics
Cons: Core curriculum
Pathways for application
REA Stanford EDII: JHU or REA Stanford EDII: UChicago or EDI: Duke EDII: JHU or EDI: JHU EDII: WashU or EDI: JHU EDII: UChicago
#Stanford vs Duke vs Johns Hopkins vs WashU (Which one do I apply early action)

Def not JHU, WashU, or UChicago. Those are hell for premed and grade deflate hard
I would say between stanford or duke
stanford would be better, but it's harder to get into
i would recommend not going to JHU because it's very cutthroat as well
I should specify, grade deflation isn’t a factor for me
It should be if you want a better chance at a T10 med school. Also, Stanford and Duke are extremely hard. So unless you had EVERYTHING almost perfect, I may not even waste an ED on any of them.
I don't know your test scores and ECs, but WashU ED would be highest chance of getting in.
Only stanford has "early action", JHU and Duke both runs early decision
I’d only recommend doing Stanford if you already have a REALLY strong application. The downside is a lot of your apps will then need to be RD.
Unless you’d regret ED to duke, I feel like it might be a good choice to go for especially if it has a significant boost in acceptance rate. Stanford and JHU don’t have really any boost at all iirc
dont apply stanford REA — youre wasting your ED boost. i say ED to JHU since you seem to like it most, then EDII somewhere else in this list
If stanford is your dream school I would apply to Stanford REA . EDing to somewhere below your dream school might bring back what ifs later on
Why not
ummmmm come duke our med school go brr
u wont die like hopkins premed
we have healthy balance of life
unless you die w regret if you got into stanny but eded duke lol
in which case this
i will say if you get into duke you proabbly wont care
Chrue
are you saying that washU is abigger boost or smaller?
do you have stats for this because jhu ed2 hasn't been released?
