Not caring about the cost all of them are great
do you care about prestige? and where are you from?
if you don't mind the not guaranteed CS admission at Berkeley imo it is the best option due to being near all the tech companies which gives you the ability to do an internship
Gtech is well known and reportedly recruited a lot by tech firms
thank you! also, gt is 20k/year cheaper than ucla and ucb, so gt is better cost-wise as well
im from korea, but gt and ucb are equally well-known there
ummm i think location does not matter that much cuz internship is mostly during summer. also, i was rly concerned about ucb cs department being underfunded, which could make declaring cs from l&S more difficult. what do you think about it?
also ucb is too impacted from what i heard
GT is definitely the safer option and what’s nice about it is the relatively cheap oos cost (49k)
But honestly in your shoes I would’ve picked Berkeley assuming money isn’t a concern at all (if it even remotely is then GT all the way)
It’s very unlikely they’re gonna suddenly remove L and S cs and as long as you put intended cs on your application the 3.3 gpa requirement honestly doesn’t seem insane
this is one struggle unfortunately
if you pick Berkeley there is a chance you cannot declare CS
haha that makes sense then, thank you!
i see okok
yea but the fact that those gpa are so essential will give me a lot of stresses and pressure, and i do not want to be in this competitive environment after going through it in high school... so that's what made me choose gt ultimately
thanks for the input tho!!!
Yea I mean you wanted some other opinions so I sorta provided a contrast
Genuinely though csnt go wrong with any of these (other than maybe picking ucla since you weren’t direct admit to their cs)
yea thank you!
