I’d go with UW. Major ranking matters more than school rank for CS and tech fields, in my experience.

Which? University ranks?

I’d say most ranks really only matter if you want to go into finance, business, or similar fields.

Madison is a growing city, I got offered a healthcare proj. management position when I finished my undergrad. Definitely looking solid.

hm i think either way is ok given the prices, although vandy is personally appealing to me

30k/yr is not really worth it, especially for a field like CS that doesn't make much of any expectations in "prestige"

If you intend to go to graduate school, there's even more reason to save money because you won't be earning much from your PhD stipend and any loans you take out will accure interest over your time pursuing that PhD

I didn't go to UW-M. I got a job offer from OOS, which shows they're actively recruiting people in Madison.

reason is because Vandy may not be well connected in the cs industry therefore slowing down employment process

UWM on the other hand could have far better hiring prospects

Madison might have quite snowy weather so make sure you're fine with it

Vandy. I think the opportunities at Vandy for CS for internships, research, and jobs are better. Not sure If I will do the masters. But even in that case, Vandy comes out on top.
