Location/Region: Texas / Somewhat near large cities or in large cities (No safety OOS schools)
Major: computer science / economics / business
GPA/Test Scores (optional): 3.54 UW, 4.2 W, 14-15 APs by senior year, 1 DE class, SAT: Aiming for 1500+
Curriculum: Not too rigorous, but I still want to be challenged
Size: I don't really mind
Costs: No debt for life 💯 my brother is going to college a year before I go so I want schools with good aid. Most likely gonna pay for a good amount of it myself.
Schools you're currently looking at (if any): UT Austin, TAMU, UTSA CAP program, Rice (Secondary Legacy), Looking for wide variety of schools ( safety, match, reach, etc)
Additional: I struggled this year going back to in person school, so hence why my GPA dropped a little bit. Schools with business major and CS program intergraded would be good. Cuz gpa drop no Auto admit to UT Austin
. (might consider moving schools for better class rank which means auto admit to all state schools.)

if u get something like 1550+ try reaching all ivies
cuz they give good aid
and i heard from someone that washu started giving good aid
if you can get straight a's in junior year
it wil highly increase ur chances
washu aid is need aware and they aren't actually too prestigious
ik plenty who get USC NMS or 1/2 ride though
they got rid of that starting this cycle
should be easier than grainger cs cuz its in liberal arts i thought
our school had a lot cs + x get in but only 1 grainger cs
Yea probably
But not much easier
At most 10% acc rate Id say
Cuz cs + econ is one of the more competitive
Compared to cs + animal science etc
I don’t mind not having Econ
CS is harder than cs + econ
Oh
There is cs + philosophy

Its not history, but you can consider that too
I see ty
op i would be very realistic bc im ngl the gpa is holding u back a bit from ivies and top schools. i also thought i would be able to make up for my lower gpa with ECs and it didnt work out for me. just wanna tell u this bc i needed to prep myself 🙂
Ty
The GPA can impose a challenge, but nothing is impossible! I'd encourage you to give a look at state schools in Florida, as they provide a slew of options covering the entire range of admission competitiveness at a relatively non-insane cost
For business I've heard good things about SMU but not sure how cost plays a role for it
wdym weighted gpa is strong?
Potential
15
Which I plan on taking

Ah
Ya
Idk my gpa kinda scuffed but it is what it is
96+ is a 4.0 here
Def
Yea
As long as it’s not ultra expensive
Smu mad expensive for anyone

Aid isn’t that great either I heard
UW Foster for business is a solid target for u (they take in about 200-300 for direct admission, however 60-80% of the spots are for in-state students), UW CS out of state is a reach cause it’s like a 3% acceptance rate. I’m biased towards UW since i’m going there, but the OOS cost isn’t too bad and you are likely to land a job during your junior, if not your senior year & Seattle is a MAJOR tech/business hub with microsoft & amazon
I see ty
I mean tbh
I don’t mind too much about finding a internship because I live in a tech city so If I do decide to get a internship it can always be back at home
consider UNC kenan flagler business school. we are in the research triangle park so close to urban. 😊
