If you are very certain about premed, I would opt for the cheaper option as always ----- but I do want to ask one thing, is the CoA for UMich for commute or on-campus housing?

#

Commute is different from off-campus housing

#

You pay for your housing if you do off campus housing, but you do not if you commute

#

I encourage you to consider the idea of commuting to UMich as this could bring the cost to levels comparable to OSU

UMich does not require on campus housing so that is at least somewhat possible since you live 45 minutes away from UMich

#

With cost considerations aside, I'd urge you to delve into the premed support, opportunities and GPA trends for both schools

#

This is something ik much less about and I encourage you to do your own research

Yes, it'll likely save about 7k in coa

#

On/off campus is $12592 and commute is $5414

That’s 1 hour 30 minutes in one day

#

The gas price will be a few thousand dollars

#

I don’t think commuting is worth it

You also lose a chunk of the college experience
