Schools: Washington University in St. Louis and Yale
Intended major: Biomedical Engineering

WashU
Pros:

  • Full Tuition Scholarship
  • Potentially easier to get personalized help/advising
  • Built in friend group made from other scholarship recipients (get to know them through group events)

Cons:

  • Less name recognition
  • imo St. Louis is mid
  • D3 athletics
  • I hate their shade of red
  • I've heard bad things about their student health services and mental health resources

Yale
Pros:

  • Ivy/prestigious
  • Liberal arts curriculum (structured but still open to exploration)
  • In the Northeast
  • Residential college system
  • Love their school spirit
  • My dream school

Cons:

  • Cost: about 10k/yr more than WashU (can still afford w/o loans)
