BU vs WashU vs UMD vs Wisconsin for CS

I want to appreciate that I have a very lucky position to be in, and I am very glad so many top unis are willing to take me.

Although cost is less of an issue for me, I'm not made of money. I'm keeping the cost in mind but its not a deciding factor.

I'm definitely majoring in CS, but I also want to minor or double major in a humanities/soft-science

BU

Pros:

  • I like Boston
  • New CS building that will be finished after my first semester
  • Solid CS program with decent connections and research
  • decent grad school if I wanna go that route
  • decent student life, party scene isn't overbearing from what I know

Cons:

  • A little pricey (~80k a year)
  • the campus is kind of pushed up against the water, and dorms are a decent walk from the main campus
  • dorms are hit and miss

UMD
Pros:

  • On the cheaper end of my schools
  • Close to DC
  • High rated CS
  • decent social life
  • big campus with many research and general opportunities
  • good industry connections
  • some family I rarely see is in the area

Cons:

  • Suburban campus, prefer a more urban setting, but its proximity to DC makes this a smaller issue
  • overcrowing in CS -- Is this true?

WashU
Pros:

  • have a sibling who attends
  • very close to home
  • dorms are very nice, campus is beautiful in general
  • in a city
  • top CS program with good industry connections
  • decent student life
    Cons:
  • Has an overcrowding issue in CS
  • a bit pricey (~80k a year)
  • doesn't accept a lot of AP credit

UW-Madison
Pros:

  • I've heard madison is beautiful
  • not super expensive
  • large, but not overbearing party scene
  • great student life
  • great CS and humanities programs
  • I know some CS students who love it. Even people from WashU I know say that Madison is better for CS

Cons:

  • no direct flights to my home town
  • madison is a bit smaller than Boston or Saint Louis or DC
  • cold, not a dealbreaker but worth mentioning

56k/year if my math is right

#

WashU and BU are both 80k; UMD and UW-Madison are around 55 iirc

I would go UMD : cheaper and better for your major

I guess there's more detail since I recently visited it

I am really struggling to lean one way or another, hence why I'm asking for guidance
