ohhh, sorry I missed that. thanks for the info!
Schools: Occidental College & Brown University
Intended major: Put whatever major you’re going into here
Similarities: Undergraduate focus, good senior capstones, interesting classes, "quirky" student body, meh dorms, chill vibes overall
Just a little background on me, I live in the Marshall Islands but my family is moving to Florida when I graduate.
Occidental College
School 1 Pros:
• Margaret Bundy Scott scholarship brings cost to around $10k a year (graduating w/ no debt)
• "Big fish, small pond"
• Very small classes & only 2k students (my hometown is <1500 and my HS is only 120 kids, I tend to do better in smaller settings)
• Writing-focused
• Great food (esp. for vegetarian options)
• Beautiful campus
• Warm weather
• Lots to do in LA
• Lots of music opportunities (JPEGMAFIA is literally performing there today + lots of festivals nearby)
• 3+3 program with Columbia Law School
School 1 Cons:
• Not as academically rigorous as Brown
• Less known (even some in LA don't know it exists)
• Worse job prospects if I don't do the Columbia Law program (which is hella expensive)
• Campus is separated from dt LA and is kinda insular
• Not a huge social scene, most people just go off campus during the weekend
• Administration seems to be turbulent and a tad disinterested
• That racism scandal in February
• Really far away from family
Brown University
School 2 Pros:
• The Open Curriculum
• Ivy League (✨ prestige ✨ & academic rigor)
• Grade inflation lmao
• Quick access to Amtrak (Boston, NY, DC, & Montreal for holidays)
• Great job prospects + connections
• New experience (never been to New England)
• Same time zone as family
• Friends nearby (UMass Amherst)
• Love the holiday vibe (mostly Halloween & Christm

as)
School 2 Cons:
• Would probably graduate w/ $30k-40k in debt
• Bigger pond than Oxy
• Lots of very wealthy people (not necessarily a con! but I would like some people to relate to for some things)
• New England winters
• Food is (allegedly) not amazing
There u go
Should probably edit in what your major is tho
Go to brown for me thx
