#UCLA CS VS UC Berkeley L&S CS

ooh definitely tough. though Berkeley is literally one of the best choices for CS, I think you won't have an issue at UCLA CS. I'd wait to see how Berkeley's current CS funding issue turns out
What do you want to do after getting a bachelor's degree in computer science? I'd go with declared CS over Berkeley. I did EECS at Berkeley and I saw how much it sucked to go in without a declared major.
if your doing l&s cs then you would be going in as undeclared
How viable is Data Science at Berkeley instead if transfering to CS doesn't work?
@static sundial normally I would say Berkeley but they might completely get rid of ls cs which would mean u have to declare another major
Look into the funding issue (there’s a newspaper article written by a prof there documenting it) then decide if that’s a risk you’ll be willing to take
Basically you’ll only go in as undeclared and will be at the mercy of Berkeley potentially scrapping the major altogether
Very viable. Easier to get into, and you learn more or less the same stuff. It's not a bad option at all.
I doubt they would get rid of L&S CS without letting the current batch of kids graduate from it.
how easy is it to do another major if L&S cs doesn't work out?
also what alternatives do I have to L&S cs if they were to scrap it/ if I don't make the cutoff ? @untold sorrel
I plan to do a masters after my undergrad
