Georgetown has a great social scene imo

Schools: Georgetown SFS and Berkeley
Intended Major: Culture and Politics at Georgetown, Political Science at Berkeley

A lot of these points are based on things I've read/heard so please feel free to give me better insight on either school if you'd like!

Georgetown SFS
Pros:

  • Amazing international relations program
  • More connections and opportunities
  • Smaller class sizes
  • In DC, I live in LA and desperately want to get away from home

Cons:

  • Conservative/preppy social scene (not my vibe personally)
  • Less flexibility in curriculum and major choice
  • Below average dorms

Berkeley
Pros:

  • Great poly sci program/school overall
  • More diverse student body and social scene
  • Nice weather and area
  • Multiple close friends attending

Cons:

  • Expensive housing
  • A bit too close to home
  • Bigger class sizes

(assume cost of tuition is the same w/ financial aid)
