UCLA (plan to commit) and Princeton (waitlisted)
Adding Princeton here bc my counselor needs me to say I'll absolutely go in my LOCI for chance of getting off waitlist. If I say that, get accepted, then don't go, I risk getting my school and counselor blacklisted in upcoming cycles which I don't want

Princeton (WL)

Pros:
Amazing IR program
Know people who love it there
Gorgeous campus
Prestige
Loved the town

Cons:
Suuuper competitive
Undergrad would use up all of my college funds (considering grad school)
Rigorous academics and stress culture (I did go to a top 5 hs in the us, but like, imposter syndrome lol)

Idk whether to commit to UCLA (where I'm leaning currently) and stick w it, or write this LOCI and submit it knowing I might do a 180 a few months later.

getting off the waitlist chance is alr slim but if u like pton then shoot your shot

i think both have whatever you are looking for

if its ucla vs princeton then again it depends on whether you are going to do grad school after

if not then go for princeton or georgetown

#

but if you are going to go to grad school ucla would be the best

problem is that I can't back out if accepted otherwise i risk getting my (amazing, private) school blacklisted :0

Schools: UCLA vs Georgetown (+Princeton waitlist)
Intended major: International Relations, Russian
Looking for: great academics, strong IR but variety of majors (not set on IR), collaborate enviroment, diversity (Asian and LGBTQ esp)

UCLA
Pros:
Great weather (I live in CA)
In state tuition
LGBTQ community is great
LA is close to home, family (1hr flight)
Admitted as pre-Global studies
Lots of options and opportunities
Food
Campus
Social life seems great, students aren't super competitive with each other

Cons:
Big school
Hard to get the classes you want
Can't form close relationships with professors
Don't love LA (traffic, pollution)

EDIT I ended up eliminating Georgetown so now it's more a matter of writing that LOCI ack
