Intended major: Public Health

UC Berkeley
Pros:

  • in state tuition
  • bigger name/more prestige
  • accepts dual enrollment credits
    Cons:
  • really close to home
  • grade deflation/super competitive
  • not the best housing situation
  • have to apply into public health major

UNC Chapel Hill
Pros:

  • #2 public health school in nation
  • big sports school
  • not as big as most public schools
  • have family in nc
    Cons:
  • out of state tuition (20k more than berk/year)
  • won't be able to come home as often
  • have to apply into public health major

Tulane University
Pros:

  • already in public health major
  • honors program
  • better pre-professional advising
  • private school - easier to get classes you want
    Cons:
  • 20k more than berk/year
  • occasional extreme weather (hurricanes)
  • don't know anyone in nola
  • doesn't accept all dual enrollment credits

Do you have anything that you specifically look for in this decision making process? You have some really amazing choices, which makes this call hard

I am honestly inclined to vote Berk bc they (1) are cheaper and (2) takes your dual credit

other than diversity i think it's a great option, i j visited recently and it was great, and i think academic wise it was amazing esp with all the opportunities with the community service

I visited as well and I rlly liked Tulane I’m thinking of doing Public health there as well so that’s why I’m here lol to see y’all’s thoughts. U have amazing offers so congratulations that’s really great
