Here are some info to get more familiar with my profile

  • NYU AD is significantly cheaper because they gave me good aid (I am an international).

  • I wanna double major in something STEMish + something in finance/ econ or take a minor in philosophy/psychology. For instance, I considered taking a double major in CS and philosophy and then work in the Al.

  • Ethnicity: Im arab ( + a parent has a professional activity in the UAE (so easier for connections and
    internships) )

  • In terms of profile, in HS my ECs were mainly leadership positions I was in, but also many STEM related activities. I plan on doing some entrepreneurship when being in college.

  • Diversity is an important factor to me. I don't wanna be part of a small minority of internationals at uni, so the more diverse the uni is, the more I'll thrive.

  • In terms of rankings and prestige I don't really mind as I believe the difference is not drastic between GT and NYUAD. If anything NYUAD is either substantially or slightly better in every subject except for maybe engineering and CS in which GT raises the bar.

the UAE/gulf as a whole are investing a lot into new industries like tech tho there's nothing that really compares to the us/china in terms of tech innovation centers

but I feel like I’d thrive more at nyuad
