Schools: USC, UT Austin
Intended major: Aerospace Engineering for UT Austin, Math for USC, Not exactly sure what I plan to do, but I think as of now I'm leaning towards either CS or Medicine for a career.
Similarities: City life, size, school spirit & sports culture.
UT Austin
School 1 Pros:
-COA: 32k/yr
-Walkable city?
-Friends going
-More credits transfer(I've taken a lot of AP Classes, and several math classes at local cc, so I would get out of a lot, I think?)
-Higher ranked cs program
School 1 Cons:
-Transferring majors is hard, I don't want to do Aerospace Engineering
-Less prestigious I think?
-Close to home
-Little late on stuff because decisions have been out for a while
-Rejected from honors
USC
School 2 Pros:
-Away from home
-More prestigious overall?
-Easy to transfer majors
-Scholarship area housing
-Less late with stuff because decision came out recent
-Can apply for honors programs
-Weather
-Better alumni network
School 2 Cons:
-COA: 52k/yr
-Less name recognition
-Parents don't prefer 🤷
