for the preppy thing, you have all kinds of people at all schools. im sure ull find ur people
bc of the opportunities/prestige im assuming?
pretty big part of it yeah
either gtown or wellesley would be good choices depending on the kind of school fit you want
georgetown is the name brand for sfs tho lol
I think you could mostly pick on vibes alone. Georgetown will definitely give you the earliest and easiest access to careers. But all 3 will get you there with the right effort/decisions. I'd pick on whichever you vibe with most on the assumption you'll do better academically that way.
you might be able to tell what i’m going to say…
id pick SFS any day, i personally have managed to find so many non preppy people
i’m doing public policy and there’s a ton of nerds i think most preppy people are in MSB
the access to opportunity just can’t be matched
plus also you can make friends at the other dc universities, hard to do that in vermont
GU greek life is also completely off campus and although the parties are good i doubt there’s a ton of pressure to go
i live in boston and while i can tell you that it’s an amazing city in so so many ways, it’s not the greatest for IR
wellesley is also in a really affluent car centric suburb
One thing to remember is that location isn't really significant for internships. You do them during summer and other breaks when you aren't on campus
I would not be even debating over this id be instapicking sfs
Though i may be biased because it was my almost school
But yeah georgetown seemed like such a gorgeous and amazing school that I dont think you’ll have any trouble falling in love with. Also prep culture isnt that bad
Im a poor kid at dartmouth which is also very preppy and like. Im not going to tell you its not noticeable but I can tell you it doesnt make a meaningful difference
Georgetown vs Wellesley vs Middlebury
