#UCLA vs USC

I think USC would be the better option for you here. Though UCLA is ranked higher overall, I believe the business program at USC is better. In addition, it does seem slightly concerning to me that UCLA doesn't have an actual bsuiness major.
In terms of the scandals/reputation of USC, they really have't diminished the prestige that already comes with USC. At least, that's how my brother(USC grad) felt during his time there. With the whole "University of Spoiled Children" thing, it is pretty much just rich kids from what I have heard, but it can still be really fun nonetheless. The student body is so big that there will definitely be a place where you can fit in. In terms of lgbtq, I'm pretty sure theres a presence at both universities and is probably accepting at both as well. I mean it is California. In terms of opportunities and connections, you can pretty much find that at both universities. I really don't think you will struggle finding interships/employment, assuming that you are putting in the work.
I recommend asking USC students here though for more input, but's that just my opinion

20k/year difference ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
aren’t u also considering ucla
thank you for the detailed response!!!!! i do see now that even though ucla is a larger school, usc is pretty big in its own right so i’m sure i can find some people who i can hang with. can i ask when your brother graduated and what he majored in??
i have plenty of ucla influence in my life but dont know too many from usc
yeah between ucla and pomona college
My brother graduated in 2023, and he majored in Computer Science. Based off his experiences, the college seems to have a work hard, play hard environment. He often said that his time at USC was the best college experience he could ask for.
In terms of employment after graduation, he works at a renowned tech company in California and is doing pretty well for himself.
Again, you can probably have a similar experience at UCLA, but it might be riskier for your career since UCLA doesn’t have a business major.(don’t take my word for that though because I am not too sure how it would work for business)

was your brother involved in greek life?
^
Mb sorry I forgot to respond lol
No, he was never in Greek life afaik. However, usc is a big party school, so he went to a lot of parties while also balancing out academics. This goes to back to what I saying about usc having a play hard work hard environment.
go to usc
why pay more for ucla
much more competition to get the classes u want, to get personal attention, opportunities etc
and marshall is more of a target than ucla for finance recruiting
go to ucla for mba if u want
and u will be completely fine applying to abderson mba from usc or ucla don't worry about that rn
usc is like 30 mins from santa monica
one of the reason's i'm excited ab usc is the party culture, so that's good to know
dyk if he ever had any issues w safety on campus/surrounding area??
i've always wondered how serious the whole rivalry thing is 😠😠ik my ucla sister was joking ab it when i went w her to visit usc
