  • Location/Region: Preferably a major city or but not needed, just not too rural/middle of no where.

  • Major: something related to bio / computational/biotech

  • GPA/Test Scores: 1570 SAT and basically the max GPA (No unweighted GPA) - somewhere between 4.8-4.9?? not released ๐Ÿ˜ญ

  • Curriculum: Lowk would love to join a college with a good running team so I could walk on as a track/XC athlete. Also anything with a super collaborative environment of people having a life outside studies to work on projects and their passions. Innovative people

  • Size: n/a (Not a concern)

  • Costs: n/a (Not a concern)

  • Schools You're Currently Looking At: mit, stanford, ucberkeley haha i need more tho

  • Additional: likely pretty good recs (teachers ive known for over 1-2 years, one is my research teacher. also likely getting a rec from my research mentor). The science research teacher I have shown a lot of good initiative in starting up a science fair that has quadrupled the size of the fair we are replacing due to funding cuts so hopefully he writes a great letter.

I am in nj so I could apply to rutgers as my safety and probably also apply to the honors college which is a lower acceptance rate but its ok

ok, I would research for your reaches: Northwestern, Tufts, Boston University, Duke (Robertson Scholarship), Harvard, Princeton, UMich (Stamps Scholarship), UNC (Robertson Scholarship), Georgia Tech (Stamps Scholarship), NYU, NC State Park Scholarship
Targets: UW Madison Honors, University of Maryland Honors, Purdue, CWRU, University of Rochester

^^^ all of these are in biotech or have strengths in biotech, medical/innovative research

other schools to consider that might just academically be your vibe in terms of comp bio coursework and research: Brown, Yale, Lehigh, Carnegie Mellon (cmu has a lot of computational biology students end up in great biotech places straight out of ugrad)

Vanderbilt and Washington University in St. Louis are strong bio-based programs and have super cool scholarships you'd be competitive for
