as everyone else basically said, you should treat each decision independently. there’s a ton of factors that go into your decision at each school, many school specific: institutional priorities, geographical + diversity quotas, & fit to the school. also, the ideal student for jhu is going to be different than the ideal student at yale. that’s bc both schools are incredibly different and therefore look for a specific type of student to admit.

for example, Yale looks for community oriented students w a strong emphasis on critical thinking + the humanities

#

bc that’s what Yale is — they have a residential college system and they focus heavily on the liberal arts

#

so they look for students who will thrive in that environment

#

on the other hand, jhu is more of a hypercompetitive, premed/stem heavy school, so jhu looks for students who fit that criteria

#

& we’re not even considering variations in your application. your supps are different from school to school, and your supps demonstrate the kind of student you are

Wow I actually went back and looked and under the waitlist faq i went under the 1st question and I misread it.
