Template,
Location/Region: Any liberal city. (Burlington, Boston, Portland OR, are examples of places I'm considering.) I am in the US. Somewhere far away may be a preference. I am in Vermont and am considering Vermont schools.
Major: Cybersecurity or IT.
GPA/Test Scores: 3.5 GPA, (UW I think? I haven't taken any AP classes yet that would require weighting) 1080 on my Sophomore PSAT, note that I did not practice at all for said PSAT and may end up reporting test-optional.
Curriculum: N/A
Size: I prefer medium-large colleges. Somewhere like Norwich University or Champlain College is the smallest I'd be willing to go.
Costs: I will be needing aid. I'd like to keep costs down as low as possible. I am mixing a job, scholarship money, and financial aid. I live with my father, and his only sources of income are food stamps and social security.
Schools You're Currently Looking At: UVM, UMass Boston, Norwich University, Champlain College
Additional: A more diverse/accepting campus could most definitely be the tiebreaker between two colleges for me. I am a trans autistic person and I don't want to end up somewhere that is hostile towards someone like me. I am currently in a tech center program for Cybersecurity to help me get CompTIA certs (Core A+ 1 & 2, Network+, maybe more), work experience, and I've heard you can list my program as the equivalent of a local community college class or two. I am saying this because it WILL make my transcript look odd. This program provides Math and Science credits, and there are Math components in this program, so I might be able to list it as a math class if a college has requirements for 4 years of math, or such. I do a variety of extracirriculars, Theatre (mainly out-of-school programs), Choir, school council, etc)
