purdue!!!
I’m from cali too, the weather isn’t a plus, but ull be fine lol
rly good ai, cs, has cs+humanities opportunities too
we have an ai major too!
how much are they paying you
15 dollars an hour 👍
but im full cost, not getting aid or schollys
thank u guys!
i assumed yale was more pure lib arts
what are your views on stem opportunities?
ooo i didnt know that purdue had cs+humanities opportunities
CMU would be a really good fit. I’m pretty similar to you and that’s my top choice haha
Oh wait that’s on your list
no nwnw! its pretty tentative :)))
i’m a yale stem person! i haven’t started yet but i know they’re also trying to increase money for stem funding
they also have more stem recruitment efforts (yes scholars)
it’s def a liberal arts focus but the stem programs are in no way weak. we also fit a lot of ur other criteria: in an urban area, interdisciplinary focus, strong AI opportunities (if you look for them), smaller clsss sizes, and really nice architecture
we also have a lot of joint cs degrees, like cs+econ/math/psych/art/linguistics if u wanna look into those
also from my knowledge so far stem research is super accessible! i’m a first year and i just applied to the stars program which is like mentorship for stem students interested in pursuing research. there are also lots of cool fellowships for research that you can apply for once you get here
hopefully that helps to paint a better picture of yale stem
