the biggest upside is the school population is smaller so you get more “personalized” education in the sense that classes are smaller, so you get to really learn from your professors. also LACs are specifically targeted towards great undergraduate education so that’s another upside over a bigger university. i also think the size makes it way easier to adjust to college life because it’s not as overwhelming, i was concerned but i found that i really enjoyed the smaller population when i moved in cause it was already kinda overwhelming and i couldn’t imagine having to do it at a bigger school 😭

one of the downsides is the location, williams is in a very small and rural town which can be an adjustment if you’re from a bigger city which was also one of my concerns but i personally really appreciated the location once i arrived because it did not feel small or isolating at all but ofc the experience is different for everyone
