EFC around 10-12, so about 34k. Tbh, it's my mistake. I put my total 4-year EFC under a single year in the CSS profile. I corrected the CSS and appealed to F&M. I even got into iF&M, so it'll be disappointing if they can't fund me.

greek(ish) culture is a part of life but it doesn't dominate the social scene and if you don't want to be involved in it you don't have to

it's really not like what you may be imagining from movies or whatever about what frats and sororities are like

if you want me to go into more detail about davidson specifically i can but long story short i wouldn't be intimidated

and if you're wanting to avoid a dominant party culture i would say LACs are among the best options

for me it was because we had a group chat that was started in spring but obviously gained people, and i guess i talked in it enough that people remembered me by the time we got to campus lmao 😭 when i would meet new people there was like an 80% chance they would recognize me from insta and there were obviously people i also knew who i recognized once we were in person

i guess it really depends on how much you interact with your classmates online beforehand

it is great because you get acquaintances really quickly and it’s a small campus, but my downside with that is that i never really got close to those people so i knew my classmates but still felt super lonely cause i didn’t get to build those relationships early on when everyone was searching for friend groups

YES i do lol once orientation activities started after move-in i got a really great group of people who i’m still really good friends with, i also found other friends throughout the semester so yeah i’m in a good place now

and also i think you just need to put yourself in situations where you’re meeting new people, i’m just kind of introverted so i didn’t put myself in those situations so i think that was part of why i struggled

but at LACs because they’re so small you’ll run into the same people over and over again and that kinda naturally gets you to talk to people
