I mean more than anything, I mailed my work to a senior professor at Darmouth( Robert R Caldwell) and he was soo good bro like he helped me so much with my work for like 1 month or so and he was such a lovely person and despite being a accomplished person he took my thoughts, critiqued my work, asked for clarification and above all helped me refine it and not only that he also guided me, he didn't dismiss anything or said anything despite knowing I am a highschooler and same with few other professors they care more about the questions or the willingness to learn than your credentials! I just loved his approach and it made me respect him very deeply!

as in colleges with a liberal arts core that have pre-professional majors in business

Pitzers is more hands on and I suppose you could say pre professional. It covers more practical skilled classes like photography and design

Pomonas is more theoretical and history based.

So id specifically recommend Pitzer of the 5Cs but the other 3 besides Pomona would let you major in the program

my essays were also kinda whatever. my PS was about linguistics and philosophy and tying it back to my heritage as albanian being a kinda outlier to a lot of other indo european languages or whatever… had points of it completely like erased from my essay because of using non english characters too…. for my vassar essay i wrote about screamo for my community essay and how i’ve spent a lot of my time advocating for like disenfranchised people through music (tied to one of my ecs, was apart of a screamo compilation that raised like 300+ dollars for the PCRF) etc, had MULTIPLE typos lmao. also did not get an interview

i don’t rly know what they saw in me other than fit tbh

i had extenuating circumstances though like i couldn’t rly do much because of my mom being chronically ill and i was in and out of the psych ward + hospital in high school a good amount of times, but i can’t imagine it rly impacted my app that insanely hard considering im not the only person who struggled.
