Its not just that UNC has a hospital, but all of RTP is a huge health hub. You have both Duke and UNC university hospitals, as well as WakeMed and all of the other Duke Health and UNC Health locations. Not to mention all the other practices.
UNC also has a bunch of other top class health opportunities outside of med school as well (pharmacy, dentistry, public health, nursing, etc.) if you decide that you want to pursue a health career but med school isnt for you. And the rigor prepares students well for both additional education and careers here and elsewhere

I'd suggest focusing on identifying what opportunities you want to get involved in. You need service experience, clinical experience, and research experience. Look into what labs you wanna join, look into meals on wheels or habitat for humanity etc. for nearby service. Look into what clinical opportunities are available
but also enjoy the summer. College is hard and premed is hard

I think the biggest difference is that CS app is more like a "make sure that students who really want to do CS can get their major classes" type filtering rather than "we have too many CS people so we need to weed them out"

I graduated this past year so I'll throw in my perhaps now outdated two cents
Pros
- very easy to explore academic areas of interest & double major across different fields
- campus is very nice & green
- walkable, bikeable, buses are great
Cons
- difficult to navigate off campus without a car (which freshmen are not allowed to have)
- buildings/facilities are old and you can really feel it (certain buildings, like gillings and KF, are updated and don't have this issue, but most of the buildings I spent time in were very dated)
- summers are super hot
- administration is ass (lots of political messing around by the NCGA)
- getting classes can be annoying during your first year but waitlists are your bestie for getting in
It's hard for me to come up with a lot off the dome but I'm more than willing to answer questions :)

either way youll have to share a bathroom with 8 or more ppl (although i think koury is 4 people to a bathroom? unsure)
communal bathrooms are chill though when i was on campus for 3 of my 4 years they were alright
like not preferred to a private of course but they were never super busy or crowded
always multiple stalls & showers open, maybe 3 ppl in there at a time max

Depends on the program, I think that state has a lot more connections/outreach than UNC (like they announce career fairs very often) but in terms of actually landing the position, probably comparable

no in fact i'm really sorry to tell you that you seem to have applied for the university of new caledonia. you'll need international status with france - probably best to sort out that paperwork quickly - and while it'll be pretty there, the flights will be long, and i'm not really sure that they are really a major school given that they have just 2,000 students and the campus is made up of just about five buildings. i hope you enjoy it though! sorry for the mixup

i met this guy last week and he told me that as long as you show that you are actually interested in business and join like business clubs and stuff and do business related stuff outside of academics you would be fine
