Personally, what has been told by many counslers to me is that after you reach a certain threshold like 33+ or 1500 SAT/ACT, you reach a pt of your application where you qualify to be admitted, of course a higher score raises your percentage of being accepted but theres a large chance of being accepted determined by your entire app (holistically like having top tier ECs)
