The point of that self-care was learning more about my condition specifically at Duke as I tied it to the various centers they have on asthma + how I’d learn more about my condition while pursuing opportunities that’d help me as a chemist whose prepping to get into pulmonology) + I wrote about, in that essay, how I wanted to join certain club like their disability club to be someone who can ensure others are comfortable about speaking about their health issues etc. bc I was someone who used to be embarrassed by having asthma’s, so much so that I neglected my own health

and then In my interview I expanded a bit more on this topic and told the amazing guy that I wanted to also educate others (primarily children) about asthma esp in places where they were more prominent

I know it sounds super long term career focused but trust me I spoke lots about chemistry and why it intrigues me too!!
