there's many problems (for me) that i discovered post getting in

so i was a little dicey on attending anyway

1. no flexibility in ur curriculum so you can't take a double major or change ur major if u don't fw business, minors also are vv difficult, our academic advisor told us many wbb students start their first yr with high hopes of doing a minor but then end up dropping it bcs 1) u need to come back to usc last yr if u wanna do a minor 2) most people lose interest 3) the options for the minors u can do is vv limited cus ur barely left with any credits so u can only take really small minors

but if ur set on only studying business then it might be good for u

i mean yea but like

it's not

that big if a difference

and second big disadvantage i felt was career wise from the upperclassmen i talked to who came from a similar background as me was that while for domestic students the career outcomes are rlly rlly good (many are in mbb, big banks, one this yr even got recruited kkr), but for international students i barely saw any good placements and most had to come back to their home country every year for internships and jobs

this is mainly because finance/consulting jobs in the us usually work like u get an internship in ur sophomore/junior summer and then get a return offer in your final year. but in wbb ur visa only allows u to intern in the us in year 1 (and it's rlly hard to land an internship in a big firm willing to sponsor year 1) and after that ur not in the us anymore

italy and hk career wise is again a lil harder because there is a language barrier

so yeah on paper it seemed really good to me that i have a degree from 3 different countries i can work in anywhete

but practically not so much

yeah sponsorship is rlly hard final year if u don't have an internship

it's a great program if u wanna travel the world and gain a lot of international exposure and network

but i would definitely say keep this in mind

Those are creative and memorable, sure — but to me, they feel really risky. Honestly, I don’t feel like I have the skill to pull something like that off without it sounding forced. for essays, I'd say you have the potential to craft great prompts whether it be unconventional or not.

however, to stand out for viterbi (school of engineering) to offset your gpa, try to get in a few more experiences before applications are due, since lots of people do have high gpa's while applying.

I have spent a significant amount of my life visiting junkyards and garage sales, looking for things to disassemble, which is a very riveting hobby for me. I've spent an extensive amount of time and effort on these two things. I haven't thought much about what other, smaller, less recognizable activities in my life I can add.
