Hyperspecific helpful video bc Davis has some weird bike lock areas

The main thing is to use a high quality u lock and lock both your bike frame and front wheel with it

Usually people tie at least a cable inside the u lock around their back wheel but ik some who do a double u lock but I forget how

If your front wheel is stolen you most likely did not lock it with the frame

You also wanna make sure your bike doesn’t have any quick release features bc that makes it easier to take apart

Some people secure their bike seats but idk of too many

Worst comes to worst you will be within walking distance of your dorm freshman year but if ur lazy the Cuarto bus comes every 20-30m

If you live on campus after that I think the bus to your area would come every 10-15m

Off campus is more like 30m but it’s a quick ride so you could just hang on campus

You’re also supposed to register your bike with campus police for a small fee which doesn’t do much stolen but very occasionally someone will u lock their bike with yours (can be used as a stealing tactic) and unless yours is registered campus police will not cut the lock
