MET, Sciences Po dual degree, and scholarship nominees are the main ones ik of but there may be more

for scholarships youre not guaranteed the actual scholarship but they tell you youre in a month early so they can add extra time to do scholarship interviews

i dont think any other ucs notify early for their scholarships

but such a tiny percentage of students get them its not worth worrying abt

but it's pretty unhollolistic of them to do that

by these standards, even uc merced is more selective than most state flagships. since state flagships do not autoreject for under 3.4

Bc the 3.0/3.4 rule is publicized so counselors aren’t pushing kids under that to apply

Cal states also exist with a 2.0 threshold

You can technically get in under 3.0/3.4 but the max threshold is 6% of the admitted class which is some insanely tiny portion of applicants

4% of those are disadvantaged students and the other 2% are students with special talents

More specifically the 4% is FGLI, non traditional schooling like homeschooling that could’ve screwed their threshold over, veterans, refugees, foster care, wards of the court, sudden adversity

And then the 2% is self explanatory for the most part but also includes “Applicants who have achieved academically at a level equivalent to those of UC-eligible applicants but who have narrowly missed meeting one or more of UC’s admission requirements, generally for a technical reason such as late or missing test scores when the applicant has otherwise demonstrated proficiency” and “applicants whose enrollment would enable campuses to establish new majors or academic programs”.
