yale has a lot of cool cs+ programs, we have cs math, cs psych, cs ling, cs and the arts so i might look into those
and you might enjoy our residential college system
wait r u doing ds lol
cognitive science is also a huge major on campus which might be smtg you want to look into
no i didn't even realize there was a deadline lmao
omg bruh u just reminded me i want to take a cogsci class
i'm also from texas tho (dtx!!) and yale's in a small urban area
yess you totally should
ur list looks pretty good but a lot of the schools are very different
like MIT is v diff from ucla so i would try and research schools that are v diff like that and see which ones u prefer if ur trying to cut
^^ the culture + resources surrounding CS tends to sway heavy between those schools but it's still a good list
If you like the combination of CS and psychology, you should look at cognitive science
Which Cornell has a solid program for
why is harvard ruled out โน๏ธ mbb track is goated
you gave a bad impression ig
If you like medical applications/research, look at CWRU, University of Rochester, Emory. Doesn't help you with your targets:reaches lol.
You'll probably need to narrow down based on looking at the vibes/resources/academic opportunities at each of the schools. How feasible is it to do CS/Psych?
Which schools makes that academic exploration and integration easier for you?
Which schools have other exciting programs that interest you personally.
ok im fr looking at the list now and not glazing harvard
-# but if you like cs + psy consider looking into the mbb track there, it has psy/neuro classes built-in and it'd be rly easy to get a psy minor if desired
purdue is literally in the middle of nowhere, i'd drop that. uiuc isn't urban either, but im not 100% sure if its rural or not so check the vibe b4 you drop.
i love a reach heavy list so this is #biased but i'd drop one or two of the safeties (most likely houston and/or a&m)
uiuc isn't rural but it's a small city in the middle of rural illinois
yeah thats a good description
so if you really don't like a rural environment I wouldn't recommend it cuz you might get bored but there's a fair amount of restaurants/activities near campus
you should visit if you can
then ig the enviornment wouldnt matter much ๐ญ
tbh you probably will end up going out a lot
i shotgunned personally, i don't think it's really telling of whether or not you're confident
its just shooting your shot
is this a school counselor?
i wouldn't really listen to that advice ... i changed my list until the last minute because my opinions and insights changed until the end of the cycle
ohh i see
you can prob trust that then i didn't use a counselor
damn that's kinda crazy tho
i applied to almost all my schools liek a day late and wrote supps day of ๐๐ผ
not recommended but feasible!
i was the first and only person from my school to apply out of state haha
just a heavy procrastinator tbh
but if you have yale specific questions do lmk! :) i'm doing cs + cogsci so somewhat similar
