i cannot put a single penny towards college, family made no income 2025

Location: st louis/missouri

  • Major: Mechanical engineering

  • GPA/Test Scores:
    3.7 uw gpa
    35 act
    4 ap classes 6-7 dual credit idk how many honors

  • Curriculum: Idc

  • Size: anything where class doesnt feel like a concert hall

  • Costs: i need to go for free or I cant go

any school that meets 100% of demonstrated need will work for you

It may also be worth looking at your local community colleges to see what financial aid opportunities they offer for low income students

Also the communkty college nearby is notorious for being disorganized

Often times CCs will have 2+2 transfer pathways with state schools where you can take some major-related coursework/prereqs in CC that are guaranteed to transfer

Just as an example -- my civil engineering friend took statics, graphics (drafting), linear algebra, and introduction to engineering before transferring

#

Of course, I'm not saying "CC is your only option" -- I'm just offering some perspective to it as an option :)
