Obviously social life is better at uw Madison, does not exist at reed because reed is just study study study, bard doesn’t have a huge scene. Also i might have heard that the mental health issues are more persistent as harder schools like reed, not a big thing but like it’s something to think about

He sounds completely shut off on the idea of going to uw, correct? If so unfortunately your parents are gonna have the final word on where you go unless you have the scholarships and/or complete ability to pay it yourself.
The only thing I can think of is to call the financial aid office and ask if you can get more for your financial aid package
