  • Location/Region: city/suburban, preferably mid-atlantic/northeastern U.S. even better if close to a major internship hotspot for my field :D. i'm currently in south central PA and before that i lived in maryland for most of my life, so i'm comfortable being there as well.

  • Major: political science/public policy

  • GPA/Test Scores: 3.95 UW, 4.38 W, taking the SAT next month but studying hard to improve from my 1300 (570 math 730 reading) psat :3. 5 on APUSH, 5 on AP GOV, 4 on AP Psych, 4 on AP CSP, and taking AP Bio, AP Micro, AP Macro, AP Lang, AP World, and AP HUG in may. plus a few next year

  • Curriculum: i'd love a campus that is civically and politically active and has lots of student advocacy organizations to look into :3 as well as solid internship connections and placements! flexibility w class selection would be nice to allow me to take courses on some other interests of mine (ex. sociology, ethics, etc.)

  • Size: about a medium-slightly large size college?? nothing too extreme but still diverse.

  • Costs: not sure of exact numbers yet but i'll definitely be needing aid. i have a single mom and she doesn't have a lot to put toward college for me.

  • Schools You're Currently Looking At: (i'm so sorry this is a big list i still need to narrow it down, haven't had time for in depth research yet. feel free to advise AGAINST these schools too lol) George Washington, George Mason, UPenn, Temple, American, Georgetown, Goucher, Drexel, Penn State Harrisburg, Tufts, UMD, Princeton

  • Additional: preferably a high cap/no limit on AP credits, close to potential internships in policy, and potentially study abroad options :) i'd prefer to be able to be working on courses for a field i love ASAP and being able to use my ap credits to bypass some gen ed. i was evicted halfway thru my junior year and my grades might fluctuate a bit/ have missing parts bc of the transfer. id prefer a college without an overly religious culture.
