**Intended major: **Mechanical engineering (aero/astro concentration)
- I will be doing Navy-ROTC for all of them, meaning I will commission for 5+ years as an officer after graduation
Yale pros:
- Best general prestige and name recognition
- Full ride + ROTC scholarship means I make $10k/yr
- Small classes
- Seems pretty laid back
- Supposedly has grade inflation so likely the easiest to maintain a high GPA in
**Yale cons: **
- Weakest engineering program out of the 4
- Weather (I like warm climates)
Georgia Tech pros:
- Great weather
- Atlanta is a good location for engineering internships/companies
- Really good engineering resources
- Best vibes
Georgia Tech cons:
- Maybe 3k a year with ROTC scholarship
- Large state school so less connections with professors (not sure if this is a pro or a con for engineering)
- Not an ivy? this part doesn't matter too much
**Cornell pros: **
- Has both great engineering prestige and general prestige being an ivy
- Full ride w/scholarship (however slightly more expensive than yale so I would not be making 10k a year )
- Best food?
**Cornell cons: **
- Cold weather and isolated location
Berkeley pros:
- Great engineering prestige and general prestige
- Great weather
Berkeley cons:
- By far the most expensive, will be paying maybe 15-20k a year (oos)
- Large state school
- Supposedly cutthroat atmosphere
