Nobody is going to differentiate between two identical candidates if one went to columbia and the other brown, it’s not like it’s a semi target because employers don’t respect them more so because less placement is a result of less ppl recruiting into ib

i said that it doesnt matter too much as long as you're really motivated

the one differentiator though may be location because columbia is in the middle of NYC-- for example on fridays during the school year a lot of students instead of taking a class go downtown for internships

but thats more of a logistics thing

a strong candidate would be strong anywhere

its only not considered a core target like wharton harvard or columbia because brown doesnt have the same pipelines

doesnt mean an employers automatically throwing out an application just because it says brown and not one of those three schools tho 😭
